Nos referimos a los libros del matem\u00e1tico y escritor, Aurelio Baldor. A continuaci\u00f3n te presentamos una breve semblanza del autor, el 22 de octubre, el d\u00eda de su nacimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Primero que nada es necesario aclarar que el hombre que aparece en la portada no es Baldor, sino <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Al-Juarismi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Al-Juarismi<\/a>, matem\u00e1tico, astr\u00f3nomo y ge\u00f3grafo musulm\u00e1n que vivi\u00f3 aproximadamente entre 780 y 850.<\/p>\n<p>Aurelio \u00c1ngel Baldor de la Vega naci\u00f3 en La Habana, Cuba, el 22 de octubre. Dej\u00f3 un legado de gran importancia para estudiantes en varios pa\u00edses del mundo: los libros <em>\u00c1lgebra de Baldor, Aritm\u00e9tica de Baldor, Geometr\u00eda plana y del espacio y Trigonometr\u00eda de Baldor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>En la d\u00e9cada de los cuarenta del siglo pasado fund\u00f3 en La Habana el Colegio Baldor, del que fue tambi\u00e9n director, tuvo 3,500 alumnos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Revoluci\u00f3n Cubana<\/strong> fue perjudicial para Baldor, su escuela fue nacionalizada por el gobierno y su casa fue expropiada.<\/p>\n<p>El 19 de julio de 1960 parti\u00f3 a M\u00e9xico, y de ah\u00ed se fue a Queens, Nueva York (Estados Unidos). Posteriormente consigui\u00f3 trabajo como profesor en Saint Peter\u2019s University, en Jersey City, en Nueva Jersey. Asimismo, ejerci\u00f3 el puesto de jefe de c\u00e1tedra de Matem\u00e1tica en la Steven\u2019s Academy.
